Our Milestone With The Knife Angel

In 2023, the Knife Angel had undergone some needed conservation and maintenance work with The British Ironwork Centre, before going back out on the road and on view in another UK city.
Over the past year, we’ve been working with counties across the UK to complete our milestone, 10th relocation and installation of the monumental sculpture. The stunning 27ft tall artwork, designed to serve as a catalyst for conversations, education, and positive change within communities is now proudly on view at Luton Point for the duration of August 2024, where it is once again capturing a vast amount of attention from the local community.
Made from over 100,000 seized blades, the Knife Angel is a poignant reminder of the lives lost and the damage caused by knife crime. We were first appointed to deliver and install the sculpture at Harlow Playhouse in September 2023. Since then, and given our extensive experience of large public sculpture installations, Mtec became the logistics partner of choice for all following relocations.

We’ve recently been able to confirm that we will continue with relocations of the Knife Angel, the next stop being Haverhill. Further locations are pending agreement.
